1. Worrying Is a Thief Let’s Take Your Joy Back

Do you have something weighing on your mind right now? Can’t sleep? That tight feeling in your chest, those thoughts running circles in your head. Yeah, I’ve been there. Sometimes I wake up worrying simply because I didn’t get snuggles from Milo no joke.

But I’ve learned something huge: worrying is the greatest thief of your joy.

Let’s sit with that.

And here’s the wild part: research from the University of Cincinnati shows 85% of what we worry about NEVER happens. It’s just stories playing in our heads, over and over. Let me share how I broke the loop.

2. The Power of Your Environment

I was lying in a dark, stuffy room once, overthinking my entire life. “When will I get married? Where’s my farmhouse? Will I ever study mediumship in England?”

I realized the space around me was feeding my anxiety. My environment became my mind.

So I got out. I started hiking with my cousins, walking every day for 45 minutes, taking 15-minute breaks at work just to be with the birds, blue jays, cardinals, mourning doves.

Eco-therapy is real.

Your environment either nourishes your soul or starves it.

Change your space, change your mood.

Even if it’s snowing bundle up, snap a selfie, and send it to me.

3. Be Here, Not There

Worry lives in two places:

🔁 the past (you can’t change it)

🚫 the future (it hasn’t happened yet)

But the present? That’s your playground. That’s where peace lives.

So I started practicing mindfulness:

Breathing deeply from the base of my spine

Feeling the ground beneath me

Noticing the squirrel outside, the air on my skin

Worry can’t survive when you’re fully present.

Try it. Eat mindfully. Walk slowly. Talk less. Listen more.

Get out of your head, come home to your body.

4. Flip the Magnifying Glass

You ever blow something way out of proportion? Same.

I was holding a magnifying glass to small stuff until it felt massive.

But when I zoomed out and looked at my worries from a bird’s-eye view, I realized:

💡 “It’s not life or death. I’m still breathing. I still have choices.”

You’re not stuck. You’re alive. And being alive means possibility.

Perspective changes everything. Try it change your angle, rise above the problem.

5. Change Your Lens, Change Your Life

Perception is everything.

If you keep looking through a dirty lens, of course life looks messy.

I started asking myself:

👉 “What’s the worst that can happen?”

👉 “If it happens, will I survive?”

👉 “Can I see this as a lesson or setup instead of a setback?”

Your perception is shaping your reality.

Look for signs that the universe is working with you.

Choose pronoia the belief that the universe is conspiring in your favor.

6. Nourish Your Body, Calm Your Mind

I never made the connection between food and worry until I cleaned up my diet.

Once I ditched the junk and started eating more greens kale, spinach, avocados, broccoli I felt a noticeable shift.

✨ Magnesium = calming

✨ Iron = clarity

✨ Tryptophan (in chocolate) = serotonin + melatonin = better sleep

What you eat affects how you think. I learned that the hard way.

Your brain is part of your body, babe. Feed it well.

7. Replace Worry with Trust

You can’t just “stop worrying.”

You’ve got to replace it with something better.

Joy. Movement. Creativity. Trust.

I started replacing worry with:

  • Writing
  • Playing with Milo
  • Caring for my grandparents
  • Swimming
  • Creating

Trusting the universe became my new hobby.
If you keep expecting bad things, they’ll show up. So flip the switch expect miracles.

8. You’re Not Alone, You Never Were

I used to feel so isolated with my worries, especially in my teens.

Nobody got me. Nobody saw me.

But I promise you, you are not alone.

Every single person you pass is going through something.

Once I started sharing, I found my soul reflections people who truly saw me.

Even Abraham Hicks reminds us: Earth school is hard. But we’re here together.

9. Talk It Out, Don’t Bottle It In

You don’t have to vent for three hours. But say something.

A real friend will listen and remind you, you’re not crazy, you’re human.

One of my favorite people in this world said to me, “Michelle, relax, I’ve got you.”

And for once, I didn’t have to be the strong one.

That moment cracked my chest open with peace.

Stop bottling. Start sharing.

10. Stretch the Edges of Your Comfort

Comfort can become a trap.

I was stuck in a familiar loop, and that loop had me terrified.

I began stretching my comfort zone daily:

  • Taking new routes
  • Speaking up
  • Letting go of what no longer served me
  • Caring less what people thought
  • Freedom lives on the edge of fear
  • And the wild thing is you don’t have to leave your comfort zone.
  •  You just have to extend it. Let it grow with you.

11. Surrender the Perfection Game

There’s an old Egyptian proverb:

“A beautiful thing is never perfect.”

If you chase perfection, you’ll invite anxiety

Life is meant to be messy and wild and magical.

It’s hot and cold, light and dark, yin and yang

I’m not a perfectionist anymore I’m a recovering Capricorn, haha.

Surrender to the chaos.

Let the universe dance with you.

Stop fighting your own greatness.

12. Final Words From Me to You

If you’re worrying right now, pause.
You’re not alone. You’re not broken.
You’re in a system that makes it easy to worry and hard to rest.

But I want you to know, you can stop worrying.
Not overnight, not perfectly. But gradually, lovingly, truthfully.

So breathe.
Take a walk.
Eat something green.
Laugh with someone.
Pet a cat.
And most of all, trust that life is working for you even when you can’t see how.

I love you deeply.
